Our mission is to assist in creating an atmosphere of praise and worship through adding those things which make the sanctuary and surrounding area beautiful.

Benevolence

Our mission is to provide assistance to people in need, first in the church body, and secondly in the surrounding community. To offer spiritual counseling in budgeting and handling of financial affairs for people in the Owens Chapel Church Family.

Christian Education

Our mission is to provide a bible teaching ministry where children & adults can be taught the word of God in traditional and non-traditional classes,workshops, seminars, retreats, and other settings.

​

Finance

We are responsible for the counting, recording, and depositing of all monies received by the church. To pay all church bills and expenses, and properly account for all funds. We provide complete financial reports to the church at regularly scheduled business meetings and to the Pastor, Deacons and Trustees.

Hospitality

Our mission is to provide nutritional nourishment to the Owens Chapel Church family & friends.

Maintenance

Our mission is to maintain the church building and grounds in a manner which brings glory to God because of their beauty and cleanliness.

Music

New Members

We are dedicated to greeting, incorporating, encouraging, and directing new members effectively into the Owens Chapel Church family. Our goal is to facilitate the new member’s transition from church visitor to church member and fellow servant.

Nursery

Our mission is to provide a nurturing, caring, spiritual and educational environment for infants and toddlers (2 years of age and under) for those members and visitors participating in the worship services of the church.

​

Program

Our mission is to serve the Body of Christ by helping to plan and conduct programs involving the church. To prepare printed programs for special services, to provide advertising and awareness of church events and to inform the church family of events through bulletin boards inside the church and through announcements in the Sunday bulletin.

Student

Our mission is to minister to college and graduate students who are attending school in the Huntsville area. To offer a warm, family church atmosphere where the students will feel at home among caring people who will continue to nurture them spiritually. To encourage church participation so that they will be equipped for ministry to our community and our world.

Sunday School

Our mission is to fulfill the great commission by instructing believers through God’s Word and witnessing to unbelievers.

Transportation

Our mission is to bring the church membership to church and to carry church members into the community.

Welcome/Greeting

Our mission is to welcome parishioners who come to worship at the Owens Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, and with outstretched hands and warm smiles to help all who enter to feel at home in a friendly and inviting atmosphere.
